He is our Example - 1 Peter 2:21 (ESV) “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” o Christ is our example for all things. As a man, he endured pain, suffering, betrayal, temptation, loss, false accusations, hate, lies, gossip and the list goes on. - 1 John 2:4–6 (ESV) “Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”
